Major Purpose

Reporting to the Manager - Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a key part of the HR team and manage the full-cycle recruitment efforts while meeting relevant recruitment metrics and establishing a deep, qualified and diverse pool of applicants. Ensuring all applicants have a positive candidate experience is an important piece of our employer brand which the Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment efforts of the company, from sourcing candidates all the way through to negotiating salary and onboarding with candidates in North America as well as the UK.
  • Constantly source talent for high growth roles by developing and maintain talent pools by networking, attending events and utilizing tools such as social media.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to create/update and post open roles, and pre-screen, assess and present qualified candidates to the hiring manager.
  • Work with hiring managers and interview panelists to schedule, interview and gather timely feedback on candidates.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and our policies.
  • Lead the development of ongoing improvements of the recruitment process by utilizing data gathered by tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics.
  • Provide timely reporting on recruitment efforts and analytics to the Director, including open positions status, quality of hires, time to fill, etc.
  • Complete and follow-up on reference checks.
  • Maintain regular contact with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist with compensation analysis on various roles in an effort to ensure competitive pay practices.
  • Develop and lead various employer branding initiatives to help promote the company as an employer of choice in North America as well as the UK.
  • Identify, organize and participate in employment events such as career fairs and trade shows.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, recruitment agencies and other vendors to allow for better communication and satisfaction on both ends.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System while ensuring data integrity as well as recommend and oversee modifications or changes in vendors.
  • Assist the Human Resources Generalist and Corporate Trainer with various Human Resources led initiatives as required.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation completion or working towards is an asset.
  • 2+ years of full life-cycle recruitment experience with an emphasis on high volume and tech sales recruitment preferred.
  • Strong interest in the entire recruitment function and continuously looking for opportunities to improve, innovate and leverage best practices.
  • Experience with candidate sourcing, cold calling, social media networking and proactive relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated interviewing skillset using structured interview processes and situational/behavioural interviewing techniques.
  • Good knowledge of applicable labour laws such as the ESA, OHRC, AODA, PIPEDA, etc.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking Software such as Recruitee.
  • Excellent networking skills with the ability to quickly develop credibility and respect of internal teams and senior leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to establish priorities and achieve results.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and emerging technologies/tools.
